Cooking Question

Postby Lynda J » Tue Nov 15, 2005 10:28 am

The Cooking Merit Badge was just updated. Within a month of that update the Food Pyrimid was updated. I was ask by a counselor if they should teach strictly by the badge book or teach the new food groups.
I said they should teach by the book but question if the boys should be doing the latest food groupings. Or should the counselor go over both?

I know we can't change the requirements or add to them but this one I simply am not sure on.

I would go by the book but also include the changes to the food pyramid. And actually, the only major change is the addition of the fats & oils group.
