Very nice. Perhaps Hubert and those enlisting in the USMC should check for some rappeling stuff since I'm prety sure you do rappel in Recruit Training.

They have videos on many different things. Archery,Shooting etc.

All the video links I lookesd at are nice , but they are no substitute for a properly trained person. Yes these are stickey.

the object of the counselor is to guide the scout and maybe pass along a little knowledge about the subject.

They are just an added touch to a Merit Badge Class. I do Climbing Merit Badge on a weekly basis. I try to give the scouts resources to look at once they have completed the MB. That being said I also believe that when you take a MB you should read the MB Pamphlet First and have some working knowledge of waht is involved in that MB. But there are many scoutmasters out there that find that not necessary. They think it is the counselors responsibility to teach everything. I now Require that the First Aid Requirements and the Knots be taught before they come for the MB. I do tst them on them and if they cannt tie them they do not get the MB. I also do not give partials. My Choice and any MB counselor can make the same choice.
