Rabbit raising was a merit badge by itself for some time. There are still rabbits being raised for meat. Has there been any consideration to adding rabbits (or goats, for that matter) to the options under requirement 6 in the Animal Science mb?

Obviously rabbits kept for the pleasure of having a cuddly bunny, rather than a delicious stew, will qualify for the Pets MB.
When you think of it there are lots of farm animals that don't count for Req. 6 of Animal Science - what's with that! The entire MB is biased in favor of beef cows, dairy cows, horses, sheep, goats, hogs and poultry. What about llamas?

I have a friend who raises copperheads. He has one of the few captive habitats were the reproduce. Would that count?
On a more serious note. With the current push towards sustainable lifestyles & micro economies, elements of small animal farming would be a good inclusion in the merit badge.
