Since having been a MBC for this badge for about 5 years now I have a question that has been on my mind for years now. do all members of the LDS troops earn this badge or is it one that that is like others that they can chose either to do or not? I know this is a silly question but I have known boys that are in LDS troops and have not asked that question yet.

This one is done by choice like all the others. Because of the strong theological principles connected to genealogy in the LDS Church there are many boys who do it.
