Our troop is going to a camp with plenty of sun. Can you put a solar panel on the roof of your tent and recharge? I've seen portable panels intended for camping/backpacking use.

I have several solar panel packages in varying sizes and power ratings. I do not own enough to fully recharge the portable power unit I currently own in one days worth of good light.

I have a hat with a panel that works great for a GPS, MP3 player or cell phone.

But the summer camp issue is no moot as I am no longer a Scouter.
