Requirement 10 of the Medicine merit badges says that you have to volunteer at a health-related event. What kind of things would qualify for this requirement?

We had this badge at our Merit Badge College in 2007. We run it one Sat in Jan and one in Feb 4 weeks apart. My Comm Chair is a Dr and Medicine counselor. It also just so happened that our council was hosting blood drives 2 of the weekends between the MBC so he used that for #10. They needed a signed note from the coordinator saying they were there and helped.

Scouts in our troop have helped with blood drives by helping pass out food and drinks after they give blood.
If you don't take care of the Cub Scouts there will be no Boy Scouts!

When I was in high school my church youth group put on health fairs in two small towns in Oregon (we were from New Jersey). It was a great experience. I suspect the Red Cross in your area may do something like that and can always use volunteers. Here is information on staging your own:

Most County Health offices run events year-round. A bonus is that the Scout can work on his Public Health MB at the same time.
