Just Curious if any scout camps are including GPS use in their
Orienteering CLasses? Possibly when this MB is updated GPS
will be included in some way.

Any one can use a GPS. We have used them to find geocahes in
our area. Its a fun hobby, but anyone with a gps can do it.

The real talent is to be able to use a compass correctly and
to be able to read a paper map and to be able to use the two
together.
Orienteering without a GPS is fast becoming a lost art.

I have two caches out there in Western Pa. The Laurel Caverns
Cache and the Rock Garden Cache. My Geocaching name is
Zigadabuzz. It is great fun and you can get a unit like the
Geko 201 for around 110.00. I just don't like finding a cache
that has a nice big rattle Snake resting on it. Happen twice
this year

Rattle Snakes are pretty cool. They are very Non Aggressive
not like copper heads that are just the opposite they are
super aggressive. Rattle Snakes are protected by the State of
Pa. So where ever they want to be they can be there. I have
sat withi8ng 3 ft . of one and taken pictures etc. without
even a hiss!
