Does anyone know of any ski areas that have a program for obtaining the snow sports merit badge?

Austin, Texas? Beautiful city. Love it. BTW, welcome to the board.

An awesome spot for earning both, Skiing and Snow Sports, MBs is Winterplace Ski Resort, located in Flat Top, WV. They host several councils every year. My kids love it. (My oldest says she didn't, but she really did.) We're going back again, this year... Woo hoo!!!

Although 1,300 miles is a bit of a stint, especially considering how close y'all are to Colorado; but, maybe you can call Winterplace for a reference in Colorado. Or, maybe you'll get some more suggestions from here.

As an alternative, check your council's merit badge counselor list and find a counselor or two in your area who would be willing to work with the scouts prior to your outing. When it is time to go to the ski resort, invite them to attend as guests of the Troop to help the scouts finish the badge.

Hi, In Nor-Cal Boreal (borealski) has several Boy/Girl Scout weekends. Discount admission even for small Scout groups only on these weekends. And several councelors on hand. Just bring Blue Cards and a board (or skis if you are into that sort of thing(??))
