Just curious, if you're a scout or scouter on this forum, state your rank and postion or any more info you would like to add if you want to

For myself I am a life scout, about to start my eagle project and ASPL, OA, NYLT, Mile swim, SCUBA BSA

Thanks

To all you scouts keep on trucking toward that EAGLE! Saturday I was an instructor for our Council Commissioner Training. All the other scouters had their respective knots on their shirts and I was in a sea of red white and blue so there I sat the only non-Eagle. My son is an Eagle so that helps. :D
One of my friends in the group did point out that I had the Scoutmaster Excellence Award, the Commissioners Excelence Award, the District Award of Merit and the Council Silver Beaver Award which aint bad.
If you just go by the raw data a scout, at least in our Council and it is about the same as BSA as a whole, has about a seven times better chance at making Eagle than a scouter has of being selected for the Silver Beaver.
I would trade it for Eagle any day, but still nice to be recognized as an adult! 8)

I'm a Scouter...but went thru the ranks in Cubs and Boy Scouts.

As Owl said....for you Scouts, keep on working award towards Eagle. I was one who was enjoying the journey and almost didn't have time for my Eagle. Glad I did get it.

At the present time, I am serving as an Asst. SM, a Unit Commissioner, and serve on the district's training committee. Just completed the Wood Badge Training and now working on my "Ticket".

Knots I wear are: Eagle Scout, Arrow of Light, James E. West Award, Adult Religious Knot and Scouter's Training Award.

As my name says I'm a life scout for life. Never made Eagle but still love scouting and what it is all about. My son just turned 13 and is star. He just waiting out his time to become life. He is very active in scouts and OA and only needs 1 more Eagle required for Eagle (Cit in Comm). My other son is still in Cubs ( Bear). To all of you out there enjoy every minute of scouting because it will be something you talk about the rest of your life. I wish I would have not stayed out of scouts the time between my scouting career and my sons. I now see every thing that I have missed in scouts and the OA. Scouting is what you make it, enjoy your journey reguardless what rank you are or what rank you end up. To all of you that have made Eagle congrats on a job well done.

Yep, been there, seen that, haha. One of the other forums I participate in is having a repeat thread too. But to keep Scouting going, I'll squeeze all I can into the infamous "ONE HOUR" a week thing.

Cub Scout, and Boy Scout in the "60's". Now a Multiple Scouter since '82.
