[FAQ] Technical problems linking in from AOL...

Postby RWSmith » Tue Jan 22, 2008 6:09 pm

All,

We've been receiving recent reports from AOL users who are getting a message that they are "BANNED" from the forums when trying to reach the forums from their AOL favorites. This appears to be a problem with AOL, not the forums. When the user(s) try(s)s to access the forums from a regular internet browser, i.e., Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Mozilla's Firefox, the problem does not occur.

Okay,

For security reasons, I will not go into details... However, any members who are using AOL should no longer be having connectivity issues with our forums. If you do, it's a corrupt cookie on your PC, or it's on AOL's end.

Reminder, this has been posted before: Suggestions for any members having problems logging in, seeing new posts, etc... First, delete your cookies. Retry logging in. If that doesn't work, delete your cache (temporary internet files). Retry logging in. If that doeasn't work, send me an e-mail.

...AOL link problems . . .

I can now see the threads on AOL, but to post a response, AOL still won't cooperate. I have to go to Internet Explorer to get things to work! Oh, well. I will keep trying. Thanks for the effort to correct it.
