Personality -- New Boards on the Way
First of all, my apologies. I was unable to transfer the
database from the old web site to the new forums on the new
web site. Because of this, I will have to move entire threads
in bulk and post them personally on the new boards. I'm
scheduling the changeover as follows:
(1) Complete the set-up and administrative responsibilities by
tomorrow or Thursday.
(2) Begin moving the messages on Thursday in the following
manner:
--- (a) Close the forum to be moved from the old site.
--- (b) Copy the forum messages to the new site.
--- (c) Open the forum on the new site.
This means that during the moving process you will only be
denied access to one forum at any given time. However, once I
move a forum, that forum will remain permanently locked on the
old site and you will need to continue your conversations on
the new web site.
PLEASE NOTE: Even though posting will not be open until the
forums are moved, you can register on the new web site right
now. I encourage you to do so immediately so that you can keep
your current username. The address is

Once again, I apologize that I was unable to transfer the
forums in a smoother manner.

Yes, I received the same message and when I continued it told
me the user name and email address was already registered with
another user?

registered? The new site shows you as being members now. Maybe
it was a temporary comm problem.

I just checked and noticed I am listed as a member. I tried to
log in but couldn't.

Ok, I think I found the problem and I've addressed the issue.
If anyone else has similar problems, please let me know. If
anyone is locked out of the new boards because this happened,
please let me know.

Optimist -
I just tried to log in and it told me I was using an invalid
user name or password. The screen flipped very quickly back to
the log in page.
I'll try again later, will let you know what happens.
