Board Acronyms

I'm new to the board and am looking for a list of acronyms (and definitions) which everyone likes to use. Stuff like CC, DE . . . stuff like that. I have no idea what it means.

I did a quick search of the board but didn't find a similar thread, so if there is please point me to it.

BTW, can anyone tell me how to manage my signature? I can't find it in the UCP.

Welcome! The two you mentioned are Committee Chair and District Executive - the former is a volunteer unit position and the latter is a professional scouter. Other positions you'll see abbreviated are:

Scoutmaster SM
Advancement Chair AC
District Advancement Chair DAC
Council Advancement Chair CAC
Committee Member CM or sometimes MC
Assistant Scoutmaster ASM
Charter Organization CO
Charter Organization Representative COR
Unit Commissioner UC
Merit Badge Counselor MBC

I'm not listing the youth PORs (Positions of Responsibility). You have to have something to work out on your own. Since you used BTW yourself, I'm guessing you are familiar with normal forum shorthand like IMO, IMHO, FWIW, AFAIK etc.
