I looked at them and they look good. Do you just use them on benches? I could not tell.

You can use them on bleacher seats, on the ground around the campfire, for canoes or rowboats and yu can strap them right onto your backpack.

a correction to my earlier post

I recently had a birthday and I got a new backpacking stove (I know, it's nothing big, but I didn't have one before because I'm really inexperienced), and I love it! last summer, I had to wait to use ssomeone elses stove, and they were taking a really loooooooonnnnng time, so now, I don't have to wait anymore :D :D :D :D :D :D

My favorite is a camp cot especially for the week long adventure to summer camp. My old bones appreciate not having to get up off the ground. It also adds a extra storage space in the tent ,everything is stowed under the cot.

My next favorite my fishing gear.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.

Jet Boil

Postby jk » Mon Apr 03, 2006 7:32 pm

I love my jetboil pcs (stove)
I have used it from summer camp to the porkies to LBL to a simple campout.
The canisters are cheep and light, and I get great fuel economy so i can carry less. Unlike many stoves the control is great, and electric ignition is nice. It all packs to the size of a nalgene (pot, pot support, coffee press burner and one fuel canister), and has ~3 moving parts. The only problem is that I cant play with the white gas anymore.

My favorite equipment is my Thermarest self-inflating air mattress. I discovered a few years back that I am no longer 15. (In the olden days I didn't take a pad camping. I could sleep in rocks, sticks, etc. with no problem.) Now my old bones don't do so well on the hard ground.

Thermarest makes several models depending on your intended use. Everything from Ultra-Lite backpacking models (1/2" thick and compact and light) to bigger ones intended for use in base camp (2-3" thick, heavier and bigger).

Mine is a 3/4 length, medium weight, and medium thickness. It is only 1" thick inflated but, believe it or not, It is as soft as my bed at home. I have used it sleeping on concrete and many rocks and such. I don't even notice how hard or bumpy the ground underneath.

I'm with hacimsaalk, My favorite piece of gear is my Stoeger 2000 12 Gauge semi-auto shotgun. Great gun. Out of my camping gear I would it was my Smith and Wesson HRT knife. I say "was" because I lost it last weekend camping.
