Did anyone take their troop to West Point's Scoutmaster's Council Camporee this year? A day after heavy rains . . . what a mud bowl! And with 7400 Boy and Girl Scouts . . . too many people for the site. There was literally less than 2" between tents in the lower field. And the Trading Post? it opened at 9:00 on Saturday and ran out of sweat shirts and some T-shirts by 9:30 and ran out of patches by 10:00. What a bummer after getting on the long line at 8:00 AM. Best way to get stuff was to pre-order. Maybe that was the intent! And with all of those troops there, it makes it tough to get out of there Sunday morning.
