Update and Big Thank You

Well things are looking better. Don't know who did it or how the firecracker was lit, but things started happening Tuesday. Maybe they knew two other boys from my son's troop were also thinking of pulling out or maybe others were thinking about it as well.

So, I FINALLY received confirmation that my son is in the National database as a participant. I have his Id # and verified it on the jamboreestuff website. We still haven't received a catalog but I've been guaranteed that if I don't receive it by the end of the month they will mail one to us 1st class mail.

Second, my son's NJ Scoutmaster has called and answered a lot of our questions re: medication, equipment, who the heck they were, etc. First meeting will be 3/10. I have a troop roster. We're pretty spread out as our troop involves 5 counties.

The council has faxed letters to my insurance company regarding some of my son's medical issues They are going to fudge his honey fundraiser #s so he gets credit for what he sold last year this year so he should earn at least one free uniform (as well as 30% profit).

So a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have emailed me and offered your sympathy and advise. It was nice to know I wasn't nuts for thinking things should have been going differently. I would have blown a gasket by now. :)

So, as of now, he's still on the roster and things are moving. Thanks again everyone.
