Planning for 2008 Summer Camp - Where in Colorado?

Postby mt_goodrich » Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:05 am

Our troop has discussed attending camp somewhere in Colorado (cooler climtate) and looking for any recommendations.

We would like a summer camp with dinning hall option.

Our total number would be about 25 Scouts and six adults. This is two troops combined.

We shared a campsite with a troop from Texarkana, Texas at Camp Pioneer this year and it was a great experience for us. We never met them until we were told we would have to share the site.

Of course, at first we weren't too sure, but once we got to know them and everyone got along great.

I would check the council websites of the Colorado councils.

Each of them should have at least one camp you can look into.

If none of those look good, and you are not against traveling, check out the camps in Utah. Our Council has several that are good, and I know the other 2 councils also have multiple camps available.
