It's #1's first summer camp as SPL, and he wants to do something special for the boys. He didn't like my suggestions, so I told him I'd ask here. Anyone ever have their SPL do something cool for them at camp?

Frankly, our SPLs' goal has been to "keep up" while still remembering to have fun and earn a few MBs for themselves.

How about a box of 50 freezer pops for $3? Freeze them into a block of ice and bring them out after dinner one night before they melt.

What I have seen:

Glow sticks for the night for everyone
Make a gateway for your camp - good learning experience for lashing/knots
Dutch oven desert
Popsicles/Twinkes/etc
Ranger beads for hiking - had cool skull beads
Design and get matching "special" camp shirts
Ask the camp director about opportunities not listed
Arranged private time at the shotgun range for the troop

Hope these spur some ideas for you. Bravo for thinking about this. Fun rules!
