Has anybody figured out how to put Woodbadge training into a resume for a job?

BSA Leadership Course - An intense 6 day course consisting of: Project Managment, Time Management, Conflict Resolution, Team Building & Leadership by example.
......Oh and mix in some songs, skits, practical jokes & games. :lol:

Sure, patrol icon/totem should be included on the Resume. :wink:

And if you want to do good on the interview bring your critter collection :lol:

All joking aside the training is valuble both in and out of Scouting so it should be included. You never know, the person reading the resume could be an Antelope!! A good ole Antelope too!! Then having it on the resume is a big +

On a more serious vane, I would include it without a lot of explanation on a resume. Scouters would know what it means. It would be a good conversion topic for others.

When I was younger (I'm 46 now), I never put "Member-National Eagle Scout Association" on my resume for fear of someone seeing it that was anti-Scouting (and thereby jeapardizing my chances for getting the job).

When I was about 30 I came to the realization I definitely would not work for or with anyone who is anti-Scouting.

I definitely would put WoodBadge on a resume. If a Scouter sees it you'll most likely jump to the top of the applicant list (you would at my company).

Well, it wasn't a resume, but when I needed to describe it to my manager, I went to one of the web sites and pulled the topic list and used it.

For a resume, I think I would use something like:

Wood Badge - Advanced Boy Scout Adult Leadership Training

and, keep the topic list handy for responses. If it causes questions during the interview I would be ready and (depending on the circumstances) let it lead into a general discussion related to Boy Scouting and the skills and experiences.
