Wood Badge staffers

Postby PGH » Wed Sep 10, 2008 2:40 pm

I just finished the first weekend of NE-IV-213. I had no idea how much time and effort the leaders had to put into it to be able to offer a WB course.

So, if you ever "used to be a staffer, and a good ol' staffer too" Thank you for your efforts.

Oh, and I'm a Beaver.

Nice to have another Beaver here!! Those Bears have us outnumbered pretty badly, but we can handle it.

Just did my first course as a Staffer. Having staffed 3 previous JLTC/NYLT courses I had some idea what effort would be required. However, it was MORE than expected. Still, I enjoyed every minute and will do it again if I get the chance.

So now as soon as you get weekend 2 in, get busy on that ticket!!

Somebody say Bear? ... a good ol' Bear, too!

And I agree, wholeheartedly! My WB experience was awesome! -- thanks to a lot of preparation, dedication and hard work. [Applause to the Staff of SR-782!]

Okay, going back to my den to resume my nap.

I made a point of telling my WB course SM and SPL how amazed I was re the all the work that staff did for us class participants.

Twenty-two people giving a heck of a lot of time for 36 strangers.

I'm taking WB at NE-IV-213 and just to let you "Bears" know there is not 1 bear on the staff so all of you better get out and change that for the next WB course that NE-IV has. We even have a (Stag) but no bears. It has been a wonderful time so far and we have our 2nd weekend on the 26th-28th to finish up. By the way I'm an Owl.

Many times if they do not have a full course they eliminate Patrols and it is always a bear a buffalo or an Antelope. Some Councils still use Raven in Central Pa

Same with my recent WB course in August.

I guess they cut out patrols starting with the last name(s) on the WB song.
