2009 Longhorn Council Wood Badge Courses

Postby mt_goodrich » Wed Oct 01, 2008 7:49 am

The Longhorn Council will hold four (4) Wood Badge Courses in 2009. There will be one Spring course, one Summer course (week long) and two Fall courses. One of the Fall courses will be Sunday observant and run from Thursday thru Saturday on both weekends.

I am posting this because I know there are some that belong to councils that may not have but one course each year and some that do not hold any at all. Also, the Sunday observant course is an interest to a lot of folks.

Below is the link to the Longhorn Council's Wood Badge web page.

However, the new application form has not been posted as of yet and may be another week or so. If anyone would like a copy of the application form, please send me an email and I will send you an application.

Our council hasn't posted the 2009 schedule yet, but I know they have 8 courses on the schedule. Usually 1-2 of these are week-long courses, and 1 is spanish/bilingual.

Keep watching here http://www.gslc-bsa.org/council/training-1/wood-badge/ if you are interrested.

I've never seen our council run anything that wasn't 'Sunday observant'. Weekend courses (and activities) always end Saturday.
