I think I headed to NE-IV-217 at Seph Mack. I think it fits my schedule more and actually is the first course that even remotely comes close to fitting my schedule.

I almost have my ticket approved and will be going back to Gilwell this Thursday night to finish the course part of woodbadge. It has been a lot of fun and anyone that is involved in scouts should take this course because you learn so much and you make life long friends.

Actually, you can be the 2nd and 3rd Assistant Scoutmaster without WB.

I am applying to be a 2nd ASM (because I will not be a regular SM anytime within the required time frame). I will have completed WB and my ticket items by the application deadlines. I am looking ofrward to finally taking the course.

But I doubt many 3rd ASMs will get it done before they go. These are the 18-21 year old Eagle Scouts you hope apply
to go even with college, internships etc.

I was selected as a Jambo leader without WB.
At the time (late 2007) I had not signed up for any WB course.

My selection as a SA was not contingent (implicitly or explicitly) on completing WB.

I stand corrected.

I am the 2nd Assisant SM which does not require WB.
Consequently, I was not required to complete the course prior to selection for the Jambo Leadership team.

Wagion, I see about you said you must be a SM 1 year during the three-year period prior to July 1, 2010. So only SM's and not ASM's can be not SM for jambo?

What I posted is the "Official" qualifications from the Jamboree Website. But as per usual Councils can do what they want, to some extent.
I cannot believe that councils do not have this already completed. Our Leaders were assigned last fall and our troops sold out in February.

I had a wonderful time again this final weekend at Gilwell at Camp Twin Echo. I would like to thank everyone that was a part of this course for all they did for me. I was 1 of 3 in this course that was not from GPC so everyone that was there I had never seen before the first weekend. Now I have many many many new friendships that will last a life time. All I will say to others is if you have not been to woodbadge you have no idea what you are misssing out on. The training is 2nd to none and the fun never stops. Now it's off to finish my ticket.

Glad you had fun. One of the Reasons I Liked the Old Cub Scout Trainer WB was it was Region Operated and you had participants and staff from all over the region. When I took that course there were 48 participants and I knew only 1 person there when I arrived.
ALso it got away from seeing the same faces on staff at every WB Course.
