I'm getting a bit frustrated here. BSA has outsourced nearly all of the Sea Scout uniforming. Adult uniforms aren't too hard to come by http://catalog.lighthouseuniform.com/seascouts/ is fantastic to deal with. Very responsive, excellent communication, reasonable prices. There are other vendors as well.
Youth uniforms and much of the insignia are sold by Ships Store http://www.ships-store.org/ and so far I haven't been able to get them to even acknowledge receipt of my order, let alone fill and ship it. I place this order more than three weeks ago. Both email and phone messages are being ignored. At this point, I'm ready to contest the credit card charges. And I've begun looking for other sources w/o much luck.
I contacted BSA Supply Division and they have not been helpful so far.
At this point, I am far less concerned about the money than I am about my on going ability to get uniforms, insignia and patches.
