Our troop tries very hard to stick to a monthly plan. sometimes the skills flow over cause the boys have trouble learning or remembering for that matter. That and activity hurts us hard because so many of our boys do sports in the winter and spring times that our activity fluxes every week.
There are lots of leadership books that present skills and set how to make meetings work out there with the BSA name on them. We use a old book called Woods And Water. I dont know if it still exsists anymore, but it is a very effective resource for helping our boys plan meetings.
Most of the books give you everything down to the bone for meetings. All the boys have to do is teach the younger ones.
