I wish to state that in our troop, the first two adults leaders on any overnight event will be MALE. (I don't have a lot of fathers who are active, but they are mouthy!)
So I take it that you believe that a MALE ASM will be less likely to exhibit a lack of judgement (in any way) than a FEMALE ASM?
How does that work? Are MALES more stable, more trustworthy, swear less?
What will you do on the next campout, or at any other activity, when one of your MALE leaders lets loose a swear word? What will you do if he swears a second time after you have asked him to stop?
Ooops, I forgot, MALE leaders don't swear.
