Well to be honest it all depends on your troop. It depends on the ages, how long your troop has been around, and the other leaders. My time was difficult and at most time hair pulling stress. But I did work through it and made the troop the best I could. I was given a gift from our council for the job I did in my troop. It was nice they all came down and made a nice speech and gave me a great gift at our last COH.
Troops that are older with more experience should be fairly easy to handle if you have had attended training. Dont just take it for the authority. Its work, and at times members of your troop will dislike you for decisions you make, even though they are for the good of the troop.
And always look like your having fun remember you are in scouting for yourself but now that you are taking on the top junior leadership position in the troop you are responsible for the rest of your troop.
