cooking contest

our troop is having a cooking contest. our theme is mexican/south american. does anyone have any good reciepes for hot stuffed jelepenos? we also need some ideas for drinks.

The one I like best is to stuff them with Philly cream cheese and well fried bacon that is crumbled, mix the cream cheese and the bacon, stuff the peppers, and dip in to a corn meal batter and fry them.

I am practically the only one down here that can't eat that kind of stuff, I mean delicacy, haha. You might also consider some home-made candies. When we were a Host Family, some of the Scouts from those regions brought us candies that they made.

And sounds like you'll need lots of drinkin' water, haha. But probably some fruity kinda drinks, juices ("bug juice") will fit it?

Since I use these events as International opportunities, consider displays or discussion about Scouting in these various countries. Make it a fun learning experience for the attendees.
