Anybody get some new equipment for Christmas yesterday?
I got a Zephyr 2 tent and Red Tail 4500 backpack from Alps Mountaineering.
I look forward to get those out on the trail!

Well, I just set the tent up in my bedroom (my sister and dad both thought it was very interesting that I was doing so

) and figured out how to set it up. It took a little bit of time, but I think with help it won't be a problem to set it up in 3-4 minutes. And putting it away was a success too-- It fit back into the bag it came with!

The boy and I both got Henessy Hammocks for Christmas. We've got several Scouts and Scouters who do the hammock thing instead of tents on our outings, so this should prove fun.

I got one of those Sporks that has a knife edge on the fork end.
Will be tested in February. Was a neat little $2.49 stocking stuffer gift.

Got my own hardcover copy of Legacy of Honor.....since it is a great book, I guess it can be considered gear.
