I like my Cocoon mummy liner as a warm summer night sleeping bag - it works great as long as the temp does not dip below 55. I used to use it all the time for family backpacking when the kiddies were too little to carry their own sleeping bag and I had to carry all the gear, and I just suffered through the cooler nights.
I really don't like using a liner, because it makes a cramped sleeping bag feel that much more confining. It does add to the temp rating, but enough to make me want to use it. I prefer my down sleeping bag for colder-weather, and just bundle up for extra warmth.
