Greater Cleveland Council Powder Horn

Postby wagionvigil » Wed Jul 09, 2008 1:08 pm

I was told today about a Powder Horn Course in the Cleveland Ohio area this Fall. Anyone that is involved in any scout outdoor program should take this course if you live within a decent drive of Camp Beaumont. I will be there for the second weekend to do a session. Scoutmasters and Asst Scoutmasters will get a whole lot of usuable material and ideas from taking this.

I will second that. I just took powderhorn this spring from Dan Beard Council. It is probably the most fun you can have while wearing a scout uniform. :D

FYI - Beaumont is located just north of Rock Creek, Ohio (approx 8 miles south of I-90 on Rte 45).

Puts it very close to western PA and western NY scouters.

At Beaumont there is:
-- Recently completed COPE course.
-- Climbing tower.
-- High ropes course.

What he meant is there is a recently rebuilt (in a new location on the camp grounds) COPE Course for Scouts to use, and a Climbing Tower and new High Ropes Course.

He didn't mean that he had completed a course.
