Don't think this is possible.

One of the reasons that it moved to LFL was because of the hoopla over certain aspects of BSA. Police Explorer Posts (and others associated with public organizations) were being closed down. The move to LFL stopped all of that.

Will have towait until after the Big Meeting this month but this information came from a Council Field Director.
Also a rumor (not from him) that LFL is being discontinued. I cannot wait untiul after these meeting are over.

Was at my Area committee Meeting on Monday. Exploring is going back to traditional scouting. LFL will no longer be reported in membership. Councils will buy a license for X# of LFL. More to follow!

Well, BSA must be OK with losing Police and Fire Explorers.

I wonder why.

Exploring will be listed as traditional scouting not LFL. It would seem they will be under the same umbrellas as Sea Scouts and venturing. Apparantly BSA has worked out the problems with the Fire and rescue etc. The only thing I can figure is that councils will count them in the license they buy but they will be listed under Traditional scoutuing for membership. AS the Area Venturing Chair I have been told to include them in my contacts.

Interesting. The whispers I heard locally was that because BSA still owned LFL, the Explorers were still part of an organization that discriminated. Therefore, they were being challenged by ACLU on those grounds, to exclude them from local police and fire. Very sad if that is the case.

I a hearing BSA is not going to fight it any more. They are saying This is what we are and what we stand for we will find someone to sponsor these units somehow.
