Due to an overload of work and personal life issues, the Advisor of my Crew stepped down as we re-chartered this week.

Tag, I am now the Advisor, moving up from Associate Advisor. He stated I was doing the job anyway with him being gone so much due to work.

We lost 12 youth due to no activity, and 5 adults because of various reasons.

This leaves me with 6 youth and 7 adults total.

Good luck on your new postion, hope you can get some of the youth back that left and really get your unit headed in the right direction.

Wishing the best in the new job description. How strong are the six and seven? Is there a base to build from? We are working through our first year with 12 and 10. As alwasy its friends, friends, friends. Seems as though when the youth enjoy what they are doing they might want to invite their friends.

Youth: One away in college but will be the youth leader when we go to Sea Base, one is the VOA Rep to the Area VOA, the rest are hit and miss. No one is trying to earn any of the awards etc offered in the program.

Adults: Me - active, also VOA Advisor for Council and adult leadership to Sea Base next summer, other three advisors, not really active, the committee is not really active - has taken two years to get the letter from the CO for the bank account.
