Powder Horn?

Does anyone know if there are any Powder Horn courses planned in areas that would be relatively close to Greater Cleveland?

Our older boy's higher adventure patrol is spinning itself off as a full-fledged Venture Crew and we have some interested leaders.

When in doubt, Google! Here's a calendar of upcoming powderhorns. There's one in Dayton in November.

[edit] Never mind. That's a course director's conference. There aren't any near you. [/e]

Simon Kenton Council (Columbus) will have a powder horn course in 2011. They are skipping next year due to Jambo and other centennial celebrations.

Dan Beard council (Cincinnati) may have one next year since most councils do every 2 years and I did theirs in 2008. If they do i would recommend it as they did a great job.

Powder horn is a great class and resource for venturing crews but it is not a replacement for Venturing Leader Specific Training training course. I would recommend that your interested adviser's get their VLST as soon as possible.

Good luck.
