Holding Mulitple Positions in a Pack (Unit)?

Postby ThunderingWind » Tue Mar 23, 2010 9:03 am

Can the COR legally hold another position in the Pack (Troop/Crew/Team/Ship)?

Example: Be the Assistant Cub Master or Den Leader/Assistant Den Leader? Or even the Committee Chair?

Yes, technically the COR is NOT a member of the Troop, etc. The exclusions are listed on the adult application, with the exceptions. But the main thing to consider is that the COR is not a member of the unit. One big concern is the "politics" of the positions: The Committee Chair serves at the will of the Charter organization, basically the COR is the CC's boss. The Cubmaster serves at the will of the committee with the advisement/blessing of the COR. Thus having the COR serve in either of those positions really takes out the oversight that is suppose to be in place.

COR can be registered as a committee member including committee chair. They cannot be registered as cub master, den leader, SM etc.

As Cowboy mentioned, it is better not to be CM & COR at the same time.
