Uh, that's not all... care to take a swag at the others?

OOOOH! Me, I do!

There are actually a 5 Lifesaving and Meritorious awards that Cub Scouts can earn, and can wear on their Boy Scout uniform.

Honor Medal
Honor Medal with Crossed Palms
Heroism Award
Medal of Merit
National Certificate of Merit

Cub Scouts who earn the Interpreter Strip can also transfer that to their Boy Scout uniform.

Then there is the World Crest. Any member of BSA may wear it.

Well, if we're getting nit-picky here, if they're wearing the tan uniform they can re-use that!

No; an award... a "knot" that a Cub/Webelos Scout could be wearing when "transitioning over" to the Troop.

Rob said there were three:

  • Arrow of Light (Webelos only, of course),
  • Youth Religious Award, and
  • Medal of Merit

That's when I jumped in and said there are more...

Nuts got two more of them:

  • Heroism Award, and
  • Honor Medal

But, there's one more (which, is the one most folks don't realize).

Sooooooo, what is it, y'all?

Nope; sorry. Good guess though... although a pack can earn the "unit" award, Cubs/Webelos cannot earn this award "individually" (basically, because they cannot yet earn the required MBs).

Would the BSA Physical Fitness Award cross over, as there is only one set of requirements for all Scouting levels?

If you specifically mean a knot, how about the West Fellowship (show me the money award)?

BINGO! We have a winner!... the James E. West Fellowship Award is the sixth, and final, "knot" a Cub/Webelos Scout may wear.

Thank you for helping enhance my knowledge and further proving the point that I was disputing on the original post. The Arrow of Light is not the only award that transfers over. Although that seems to be the belief by many. Thanks again.

This is the reason the BSA added the new 2nd class requirement:

Earn an amount of money agreed upon by you and your parent, then save at least 50 percent of that money.

Get the scouts used to giving FOS donations as well

for the Pack FOS I have a few bucks in envolopes with the cubbies name on them. That way if the parents don't donate the cubbies still can. It also has proven to increase the number of parents who donate.
