As detailed in another post, I (Committee Chair) have been working to get all of our Committee Members certified as Merit Badge Counselours. We have all now submitted applications to Council. Two questions for understanding:
1) Should we have gotten something back from Council stating that we have been "accepted"? To my knowledge, this has not happened, even though most applications were submitted months ago. Note that all the prople involved are already registered adult leaders. Should we assume that "no news is good news"? (we don't get actual confirmation that applications for new Scouts or Adult Leaders have been accepted either). Should I follow up?
2) The Counselour Application mentions renewing annually but gives no specifics. Does this mean submitting a new form each year? Sending a letter to Council stating that we wish to remain as Counselours for the coming year? What?
