Textile Merit Badge Questions for Councelors

I am perhaps interested in becoming a Councelor for this Badge.
Can someone who has experience answer some questions.
For Example, do you do this as a "class"? vs. in pairs?
Any clues on how to collect proper fabric smaples?
Have you even had them make felt?

My wife used to do this badge. Usually in pairs. She would get samples of fabric from the fabric stores.
