Well, I voted yes, but after reading other sides, I can see where they are comming from. However, I still think it should be required.

I am in Skill Center in my county for nursing. We just finished our CPR Cert. and First Aid Cert. These are done by the Red Cross. I have already CPR, Adult, Child, and Infant card, and First Aid, responding to Emergencies. I am planning on becoming a nurse when I get older. I think that all kids should know First Aid, thats why I think it should be required for 1st Class. Someone getting injured on a camping trip is bound to happen. If the kids know what to do, they can respond acordingly. Knowing what to do for First Aid, weather it be an emergency or just a simple scratch, is very important. This way, if any of these situations occur, the kids can respond and save a life, or just keep a wound from getting infected.

(Sorry its so long, I am majorly into First Aid! lol :D )
