I'm not worried about it, and I think the danger is grossly overstated. Perverts can get high quality real or computer generated photos that cater to their perversions for very little. Photoshopping takes time and money, and likely wouldn't produce the quality they're after. As long as parents know what you're planning to do, and you have a release from them, post away (in low res). But if you are concerned or have a parent who is, you shouldn't post them.

Takes some time to set up. But it is free and it gives differing levels of logins. This is useful for leaders to post and parents and scouts to view.
Good Luck and Happy Computing

Okay, so I am behind the times but I just ran across your post and looked up Scoutlander. Lo and behold and my troop now has a real web presence. Now to see how well it works for improving communication and maintaining a dynamic troop calendar anyone within the troop can access when needed. I'm no techno geek by any stretch of the imagination but set-up really was easy. I am sincerely impressed.
