Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Lifetime... $11.99 (Exp: 2/4/13)

Postby RWSmith » Tue Jan 29, 2013 10:37 pm

Folks,

I have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO on all of my PCs, as well as my family members' and a few friends' PCs. (To-date, I have probably purchased about 20 licenses.)

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO is not made to replace your existing anti-virus software; it runs perfectly well along side (almost) any other anti-virus software you may be running. (Note: This is an exception to the rule because it is not, technically, anti-virus software.)

Effectively, the only real difference between the FREE and PRO versions is the ability to run the "real-time protection" mode. If say, for example, you browse to a website that has been infected... Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware will protect your PC from getting hit with the payload.

There are several FREE, high-quality anti-virus software packages out there; but, this puppy, IMHO, is definitely worth a paltry 12 bucks. In fact, second only to investing in a quality Surge Protector (or UPS), Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO is next on my "must have" list for any Windows PC.

Notes

  1. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Lifetime:
    • For Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 (32-bit and 64-bit).
    • This is the full Retail version (incls. free lifetime updates) from Malwarebytes.org; this is not an OEM (System Builder Channel) version, which means you actually get support from Malwarebytes.org... not the guy who sold you an OEM version.
    • You can "transfer" this software (license) to a new PC. I.e., when you decide to get a new PC.
  2. Price includes free Shipping and Handling. Newegg.com charges Sales Tax on orders shipping to California, New Jersey and Tennessee only.
  3. Newegg Terms: Discounted prices and/or promo codes are valid through 02/04/2013. Standard terms and conditions resume upon expiration. Valid only on current stock. Promo codes may not be combined with other promo codes on a single item and can only be used once per registered account. However, unless otherwise noted on the product page, customers may purchase up to five (5) pieces of the same product at the promo code price as long as all pieces are purchased in the same order. Only one promo code will be applied per item per order, even if the item is eligible for other promo codes entered at time of purchase.
