My unit has used Troopmaster for a long time. It has a lot of nice features and abilities...none of which my unit used. We only used it to track meritbadges and rank advancements. When I became a Scoutmaster, I convinced them to use it to also track meritbadge councilors. However, parents and boys could not get access. I was getting lots of calls from scouts and parents. I have no problems with that, I just wanted to provide an easier way for them to get the information they wanted.
So...I created the GoScouts tracking system. It is a simple tracking system. Currently it is in "beta" mode. Very usable, but there still might be some minor issues.
If anyone is interested in trying it out, I wouldn't mind a few more units using it. It is a free service.
