This of course is assuming you are an approved Geocaching MBC. What does your council say about when it will be available? Put some heat on them to find out.

I signed up way back in Apr. Is far as my council knowing anything I'm sure I would be called as soon as they found out. I have been contacted by a person from "Geowoodstock" which is one of the biggest geo meets in the world to teach geocaching merit badge there in 2011. Geowoodstock is heald all over the U.S. and next year I'm lucky enough that it is only going to be 3 miles from my house at the Warren County Fair Grounds.

I think it is really bad that they rushed to release this before there is a badge. They offered it at council camps, i counseled a couple of kids, and you can enter it in the online advancement. No patch and the scout shop has no clue when it will be released. I think the only reason they pushed this out so quick is so they could sell those junky little earthmate jr's.

Sad but true. Most of the info my DE gets (most recently about Bugling) comes from his District Volunteers

My scout shop said that the info they get on new items coming in still did not have either the MBP or MB patch. She guessed maybe December arrival of both.

I dropped by the Scout Shop located next door to the National Distribution Center (NDC)) last week.

They hinted that September is the next possible release for Geocaching pamphlet and badge... they've already got slots set up for them. MBs and pamphlets are released from the NDC quarterly. So, it's either going to be September (now), or... January, 2011 (Ugh!), or... ???

Already Sept 14th and still nothing, I guess Robotics has a chance of beating its release.

"Production on the badge and pamphlet will begin soon, and you should expect to see both at your local Scout Shops by the end of December." (Emphasis added.)

Hurry up and wait, right? -- Oh well.

Does it have a # yet? And can Troop Master be updated yet?
