If a scout turns 18 while he is working on the Pope Pius XII medal (or any religious medal for scouts), can he continue to work on and earn it until he is 21? Venturers are allowed to earn medals until age 21, so would this be allowed for a scout? And if the scout joined a Crew, would he have to earn the medal through the crew, or could he continue to earn the medal through his Troop?

From the website and they are specific.
Designed for age 15-16 year old, but all registered Venturers (male or female before their 21st birthday) and all registered Boy Scouts (in high school, before their 18th birthday) are eligible.
