When I was a scout we had to send and receive so many words my wig wag, semi fore or standard morse code I think it was for second class but may have been for first.

Maybe they will change the requirements for the Signaling to:
Send a text message of 35 words in a minute and Send an email of at least 35 words in a minute. And no words can be completely spelled out correctly.

Being a Ham radio operator teaching Morse code is as easy as listening to a CD! I can teach a 1/4 of the alphabet in ten minuets to any Scout. There is an easy way for you to teach the code even if you don't know yourself. Buy Gordon West's "Morse Code 0-5 Teacher" two Audio CD set. You can do a web search for the W5YI group; they publish and record Gordon's teaching material.
By the way Morse Code faster by far than texting, in the order of three times faster.
