After taking away the Area, Regional and National VLAs for youth and adults, the award is now back at these
levels for youth ONLY. Adults are also now removed from Council level award.
Deserving adults are to be awarded the ULAM (if they are the Advisor) or be lumped into the Silver critter or DAM pool of recognition.
One problem I have with this is that the ULAM is a Crew initiated award. The VLA can be initiated above the unit for recognition of those serving the District VOA, etc.....just my opinion.
Not that awards are a requirement, but it is all "we" have to give in order to recognize the volunteers and thank them for their outstanding service.
