Understand that the adult knots are primarily divided into three types, Those that represent certain youth accomplishement, Those that represent adult training and leadership work, and those that you are nominated for by others based on service.
the first you no longer have effect over/ If you eraned Arrow of Light, a religious award, Eagle Scout, Etc, then you are elibible to wear the representative knot.
The second you control now. By completeing your basic training serving for a specific length of time and participating in specific projects to better the unit and scouting you can leader recognitions such as the Training Award, Training Key, Commissioners Arrowhead amd others or a number of Cub Scout Position specific awards. There are also some adult religious awrds that can be earned.
The third are you have little control of since it requires that you be nominated, and chosen to recieve them. This includes District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, George Meany Award, other services award, and some religious service recognitions.
