There is already confusion, and opinion about what the Supplier has produced. The jerseyshore link (thanks BTW), shows the same knot as found recently on ebay. It is reported to be the official Supply item, and I'll check at one of our Shops here. But, it's not the knot (say that ten times) we see on Paul's site and others.

I thought to write you Paul, or Mike and ask about it. So I'm trying it in this forum. Was the usscouts image just a prototype? I know one Scouter that has already made comment to the Chief, regarding this patch. Perhaps someone else has an opinion? Everyone realizes it's just a patch, but it's a big change, haha. :?:

As I recall, the image I have on USSSP was clipped from the official BSA form about the award: http://www.scouting.org/relationships/04-515.pdf
In any case it looks the same. :-)

Hopefully it will get back to "your" version, making this other one just a collectible, haha. Thanks.

I can see honoring those who start units, I can also see holding off awarding the knot until the unit charters for the third year in a row

Maybe by then it will be corrected, haha.

After looking at the Criteria, I focused on the part about assigning a Commissioner. So I made a local suggestion to some people, to just make the Organizer the Unit Commissioner for them. No reaction however, as they just look at me sometimes, haha. :?
