REI is good. Try joining as a member,you get dividends back at the end of the year. It is a one time fee I think 20.00. they also e- mail you specials and advance mailings.

Yep, REI membership is nice. I've been a member for almost two years now and really dont buy that much stuff, but I've already been able to get a good carabiner out of it

Used REI a lot back in the 1970s.

Recently, I needed to order some camping gear as a present for my dad.
REI was the only distributor.

Called them and mentioned that I was a member 30 years ago.
They asked what my address was back then and, about 20 seconds later,
"Here we are Mr. Billiken, your account number was/is XXXXX"

High quality stuff, IMHO.

I love REI. The problem I'm having right now, though, is that for some reason their main site will not load on my computer. I can get onto REI-Outlook, but not REI
