Any councils do a week-long Woodbadge course anymore?

Postby Rhett » Thu Jul 21, 2005 11:04 am

Does anyone know of any councils that still do Woodbadge courses over a week-long session like they use to do it years ago? :D

Yeah, our Council does some of the multi-weekend ones each year, and a week-long at Philmont.

....week-long at Philmont.

Is that part of your council's program or is it run by The National Training Center (open to all scouters)?

Hmmm, it's a fair question, and I just don't know exactly. I'll try for a clarification soon though.

Ozark Trails

Postby ThunderingWind » Thu Aug 11, 2005 9:33 am

Ozark Trails does a one week course in the even numbered years and a multi weekend course in the odd numbered years.

I am finally getting a break in my total life schedule to go this year. I have even worked out some of my ticket items that I will complete in the next 18 months.

Our council used to do 3 course each year. One week-long at philmont, and 2 weekend ones here at the council training center.

Last year they did 4 courses, including one in spanish. All of them were fully enrolled about 6 months in advance.

This year, they scheduled four (all week-end courses), and they are talking about adding a fifth one. (The schedule also shows 2 NYLT courses, and an OA-NYLT.)

Next year they have already scheduled 7 and they are talking about doing an 8th course. I haven't seen the dates yet, but I think they will do at least one of them as a week-long.
