Venture Patrol ASM using the Venture Strip Patc

Postby BuffaloSE-583 » Sat Dec 30, 2006 4:59 pm

How are ASM's in charge of guiding the Venture Patrol disquished from other ASM's? Can they wear the VENTURE strip patch above the right pocket like the scouts?

I did a internet search and found a (no longer available) ASM patch for the left sleeve that had VENTURE printed on it. It seemed to be available during (1989-1998)

A Venture patrol is part of a Boy Scout Troop not a Varsity Scout Team or a Venture Crew. The venture patrol may wear the venture strip over the Boy Scouts of America strip and the ASM for the venture patrol may wear the Assistant Scoutmaster Venture position patch that is still available from national supply. Both the ASM and the scouts in the patrol wear the red shoulder loops not green as many troop incorrectly do.
