Need some blank neckerchiefs

Postby cad-guy » Sun Mar 11, 2007 1:03 am

My troop is wanting to have their own neckerchief done. We already have art, and a place that can embroider, but I dont know where I can buy blank scarves. Anyone have any ideas?

We order our blank neckerchiefs from the council Scout Shop.

That would be a unique service for a council to offer in their scout shop as the BSA Supply Division does not offer blank neckerchiefs for sale. (see the current official retail catalog for 2007 page 6 in Scout Neccessities, and page 9 in the CustomDesign sections)

The BSA will custom silkscreen for a minum order of 108 pieces and embroider for a minimum order of 6 pieces. Their embroidered price is $12.95 IF you use their stock designs. Custom designs are quoted individually. They offer 10 neckerchief colors.

Your approved BSA vendors can be very competitive and often offer you a wider selection.

You can make them yourself out of cotton material or a cotton/poly blend. Find a mom or dad who sews and purchase cloth in your chosen color and all that is needed is to cut the cloth to size and hem. You can then have them screenprinted, embroidered, sew on a patch--whatever you choose for the art work.

Sounds fun!
You can find anything and everything you need to paint or dye , including, blank clothing, banners, flags, bandanas, T shirts , hats, etc
at Dharmatrading.com. There is loads of fun how to stuff on the website.
We always have the best patrol flag, something I attribute to Dharma.

No , I do not work for them, They just really are a neat company.
The catalog is free, telephone 1-800-542-5227

BSA does have blank white neckerchiefs, even though they are not listed in the catalog. There are many national supply items that are not listed in any catalog. I can’t remember the item number but they are considered a custom item that your council or scout shop can order in units of 12. Our scout shop stocks them and sells them for scouts who have to make their neckerchief for out NYLT. I can’t remember the price but they are much less than the neckerchiefs in the catalog. Your national scout shop should have the item listed in their point of sale system.
